Policy Centre appoints five research assistants

‍

The Policy Centre Jersey, the Island’s independent think tank, has appointed five young Jersey people as research assistants. Henry Horton, Henry Humpleby, Moses Sappe, Neil Sontakke and Maia de Bourcier are university students or recent graduates who each have a keen interest in public policy issues in Jersey.

They will assist the Centre by drafting, commenting on and inputting into the Centre’s range of research papers and Policy Briefs.

Commenting on the appointments, the Centre’s Acting Director, Sir Mark Boleat, said –

We're delighted that five highly talented young Jersey people have chosen to work with the Policy Centre until next summer. They will be a valuable additional resource for our research work and also provide new ideas from the perspective of young people at the early stages of their careers. We hope that the experience will also help them in their careers.
Longer term, the Policy Centre is keen to build up its links with the academic world and also to encourage Jersey students whose courses involved writing a thesis to choose a Jersey-related subject when appropriate.
